A Place of Learning and Doing
VMS members will be able to study variety of topics, including keyboard, guitar, voice, songwriting, recording, the music business, goal setting, planning and performance. All courses are designed to enable you to improve your skills, and acquire new ones. Learn the craft that will enable you to fully realize your inspiration. Our teachers have literally decades of experience in their respective fields.
We will also feature interviews and performances by established and up and coming artists. These candid interviews will provide insights and tips into what these artists have done to build their careers and establish themselves.
We believe that no learning is complete without actually "doing." So we will provide a number of opportunities for our members to perform, such as online virtual writer's nights and open mics, in person events such as our performance cruise, our musical cultural exchange tours, songwriting retreats, and coming in 2012 the VMS Internet Radio station, featuring members of the Video Music School.
A Community
There's nothing quite like meeting new people who share your passion. Anyone who is serious about their art can benefit from contact with like-minded artists. You can share ideas, receive and give friendly feedback, find a collaborator, an accompanist, or a new band member. You need never feel alone as an artist.
We will host several special events each year, including in-person and online. It bears repeating. As a member of the Video Music School, you'll be able to participate in songwriters' nights, live webinars, and even an annual VMS Cruise and Music Cultural Exchange Tour.

All VMS members will have access to our list of recommended resources and services. These are resources and services we've used and others have used and recommended highly.
Who can join the Video Music School? Anyone who can use a computer! From children to seniors, anyone who has a passion for learning, performing, and creating music.
